Review: NAMING Layered Cover Foundation

Today I am going to reviewing the new foundation from the Korean beauty brand Naming. I am tried a few products from them and so far I love them so let's see how this foundation works for me. I have reviewed their Color Quartet Eye Palettes already on my blog.

NAMING LAYERED COVER FOUNDATION

The Foundation with the thinner and lighter texture, higher covering power, resulting in clear and clean makeup. Covers pores smoothly with various sizes of fine cover powder. It keeps the moisture in the skin and keeps the surface soft and keeps the makeup clean without crumble over time. You can freely mix and match any color you want among 5 colors to create your own color shade.

MY THOUGHTS

Naming Layered cover foundation came in 5 different shades which is great for any new Korean brand honestly as most have only 3 shades. You get the shade range from 17Y to 25Y. You get 30ml of foundation in each bottle which is a standard size. What I love the most about the Naming Cosmetics is that make sure to provide all the product details in English as well with the ingredients. It retails for 26 dollars but you can get it for 21 dollars for now from Yesstyle.

#17Y - labeled as #17 in a yellow tone, can use for highlight as I do and it has a less pink tone it than others.
#21P - labeled as #21 in a pink tone as a name it does have a prominent pink tone to it.
#21Y – labeled as #21 in a yellow tone it is more on the neutral side again, without any yellow tones.
#23Y - labeled as #23 in a yellow tone it is a 23 shade but again more on the neutral side.
#25Y - labeled as #25 in a yellow tone, can use for shading but in actual it is more on the Yellow-orange side so I always use it to mix it with other shades.

The packaging of the sleek yet simple, the naming foundation came in a frosted glass bottle with the white plastic cover and pump. You get the SPF35 PA++ protection. It also claims to provide whitening and wrinkle improvement.
The yellow is mostly hard for Korean brands I think as mostly Korean don’t like the tone so where they are mention Y in the shade don’t think it is going to have a yellow undertone but it is more of a neutral color still and the shades are still more for the lighter skin tone. The shade 25Y and 23Y is what i used the most as they work perfectly for my skin.

I still remember to put this on for the first time and was totally shock how it makes my skin look, it has a natural medium coverage which is buildable. The finish of it is more on a satin/ semi matte as it looks natural and your skin but better. The consistency is more liquidy and it is more on lightweight side and it does blend easily on the skin without caking up. It does not dry out the skin which I really like and it does not feel like you are wearing a foundation even. It does have a moderate amount of sweet scent to it which fades away after some time.
It is recommended to use it with the puff but I like to apply it with the brush first and finish it with the puff which makes it look even better. It is micro-shimmer or what but this makes your skin looks glowy and more healthy overall. It does oxidize a tiny bit on me which I don’t personally mind.
I think most skin types will able to enjoy this foundation.

I haven’t seen many people talking about it which makes me sad but I honestly love this foundation, it is not the best for textured skin but one can make it work as i do have textured skin. Overall it is one of my favourite Korean foundation and if you are looking for something which covers a little bit yet gives a beautiful natural finish , go for it.
