Review: Clio Pro Eye Palette In Simply Pink

Finally here are my thoughts on the Clio Pro Eye Palette. This is the the best seller product of Clio in 2019 for sure , clio makes lip products and cushions so well but this eye palettes really changed my thoughts on kbeauty makeup as the shades are more neutral and everyone can enjoy them.

REVIEW OF CLIO PRO EYE PALETTE IN SIMPLY PINK

PACKAGING

I love the matte finish packaging and the dry rose pink represents the palette perfectly. The packaging is made of the plastic which does not feel cheap. You can the shades from the outside of the case as well as they have given a transparent plastic window to show the shades. 

You get the tiny horizontal mirror inside which is still better than many other palettes i have used in the past. You can actually see your eyes properly and can do makeup. The palette came with the nice thick plastic sheet on the top of shadows to protect them. You also get the duo side brush with it which is actually funny because it is not good as the palette is. The brush bristles are pretty firm not harsh but they are not meant for blending. One is a flat shape eye brush which is good to apply the base color all across the eye and to apply the darker shade as a liner. The other one is round tip brush which is actually I use for my under eye area and it works actually better than the flat side and you can apply glitter shadows with it.

SHADES

The Clio has released total of 5 palettes in this line. The first three palettes are released in their spring /summer collection while the other two are released recently which are as gorgeous as the first three.

You get the 10 shades in palette, I choose the first one which is called Simply pink and this is most beautiful and neutral palette i have seen in the Kbeauty world which is labelled as pink but can be used by anyone on the daily basis. You get 10 shadows and each shade weigh is 0.6g. The eyeshadows do have a little bit of fallout especially the matte one which is not a big deal for me personally.

FIRST ROW:

FIRST HUG: it is a matte off white with the hit of yellow. This does not have much pigmentation to it as it is a base color. This does have a fallout.

LETTER ME: This does not have a base color and contains the beautiful little reflective particles of blue, pink, purple and gold glitter. It is one of my favourite shade in this palette.

PAPI: It is a beautiful light soft peachy shade that has the shimmer to glittery finish. 

LOVE JAM: the Hero of the palette the multi reflect shadow which gives these palettes a spotlight. It is a beautiful rose gold mixed with pink, purple and gold glitter particles. Overall such a beautiful and unique shadow which changes with different lighting.

SERENDIPITY: it is beautiful toned down dry rose shade, one of my favorite matte in the palette. It is soft and does not have much fallout to it.

2ND ROW :

LOVE LIES: It is a matte finish light pink shade which looks gorgeous as well. Fallout is not obvious.

LUCKY YOU: it is again one of my favourite shade glitter finish shadow which does not have a base color which creates a beautiful rose gold finish with the gold and pink glitters.

LOVE MAZE: It is a beautiful matte pink with hit of brick shade with few multi-color glitter particles.

TIME TO LOVE: It a beautiful matte dry rose color which has a little warm tone and a hint of brown to it than the Serendipity.

ONE KISS: One kiss is a matte brown shade which is again has a warm tone to it and is highly pigmented.

INGREDIENTS

So I couldn’t find the ingredient list on the Clio official website but I find one from Oliveyoung site but it weird because they haven’t mentioned the particular name of the palette which these ingredients belong to so I am not sure if it is of the Simply Pink or not but I think these ingredients are used in all the palettes as they does not contain a lot of pigments which each palettes have their own so overall you get the gist of what the ingredients are.

MY  THOUGHTS

Overall you get 5 of the matte shadows and 2 glitter shadows, 2 shimmery shadow and 1 multi reflective shadow. The mattes are soft and nicely pigmented, you can create so many looks with these beautiful shades. I love every single shade in this Clio Pro Palette, these does not look chalky and blends easily. The formulation is overall soft and smooth and the shadows are overall great and are not drying but I still like the moonshot eye shadow palette. The glitters does fall a little bit so it’s better to use the glitter glue or a tiny bit of a Vaseline before applying the glittery shades especially if you have dry eye area like me. The glitter and shimmer shades are best applied with fingers. Maybe I am a little biased about this palette because the shades are just my style. I want to say that this palette performs really well when using your fingers and pigmentation is amazing, the shades have a soft and buttery feel to them. The glitters in this palette are not chunky and they reflect so amazingly.

I am beyond happy that I get to try this palette because i am so satisfied with it. I will highly recommend this palette for those who love neutral but also who are scared of pink shadows because this palette is not overwhelming and you can create a beautiful looks from daily to party with these gorgeous shades.
