This foundation claims to be light weight, buildable, matte and have a mesh netting which provides even coverage. It has a SPF of 30 PA++
It has green tea leaf water which protects skin from damage and decrease the appearance of wrinkle. Jeju cherry blossoms extract which keeps skin radiant and moisturized. Camellia japonica flower extract which prevent from skin aging.
It feels pretty light on the skin and adhere nicely with the skin. As it has a sebum control powder it creates the demi matte finish rather than the matte as it claims but it looks super natural on skin. It came in a cream form which is pretty light weight and not thick at all. At first it feels sticky but after few minutes It sets in and looks pretty decent and gives a nice finish. It does transfer like any other cushion or pact foundations. It has a natural to medium coverage and the air puff is soft and puffy. The refills of the original cushions cannot be fixed in this compact. I think it is more suitable for combination and oily skin type, if you have dry skin make sure to moisturize before.

This foundation came in a 3 shades in total which are 21(light beige), 22 (pink beige), 23 (natural beige). I got mine in the shade 23, natural beige. This one has the perfect undertone for me, not too pink not too yellow. What bother me about this foundation that it actually does oxidize and cannot not control the oil for a while, it looks nice for 4-5 hours but definitely you have to fix your foundation and that’s what compact foundations are for. Does starting to budge off if keep on layering the foundation? It has a chemical scent to it which is not over whelming. It has demi matte finish and for that to last it’s better to set it with setting powder. It does not apply better on the sunscreen and other skincare products.

It came in a black box which has a golden printing on it with the same font which is on the compact. Over all I love the sleek packaging, to be honest the original one was not appealing enough but this one is simple but yet little details make it so much elegant. The new case has the tiny bit of pearlized wash though out the case, even though the finish of the case is matte, with the gold April Skin printing. The new case has the airtight case which will automatically close up the cushion holder.

It is infused with 45% water to provide moisture to the skin and it has a SPF of 50+/PA+++ . It contains the blueberry extracts, mineral water and aloe vera leaf extracts. This one came with the mochi cushion which means that the foundation is in the center of two cushion/sponges which makes sure you are actually getting perfect amount of product without wasting any. When opened the brand new cushion, after removing the sticker it does not have any foundation at the top of the sponge but one have to press to get the product. I haven’t use the original version but the differences I have seen from online reviews and pictures are that the formula got cover all the things which means it is more buildable and the control oil for more long time. The puff has changed to the black from beige and the design of the case has also changed so the refill of the original one cannot be fit in this case.

The air puff of the April Skin black cushion is more dense and doughy and it applies the product more evenly and nicely. This cushion also came in a 3 shades in total which are 21(light beige), 22 (pink beige), 23 (natural beige) and I ordered this one in the shade 23 natural beige again. It has a floral sweet scent and feels a bit heavy. The April Skin Black Magic snow cushion has a little bit of Yellow undertone it. This cushion gives the Brightening effect and does not oxidized at all. It feels super moisturized and is not that heavy. The new Black cushion provides the medium to full coverage. It feels a little bit sticky and last quite long as compare to the fixing foundation. It does not feel cakey and adhere nicely to the skin. It provides the dewy finish and does control the oil throughout the day. It lasts though out the day and the oil starting to appear after 5 hours which is not crazy at all. It sets beautifully on the top of sunscreens and skincare products. It is meant for oily, combination and acne prone skin and actually great on all skin type according to me.

COMPARISON
The size of the both cases are same and both of them contains the equal amount of product which is 15g. The cases of both are comparable as well from inside as well outside. The cases are quite good as when you shut the compact it automatically closes the case inside it which contains the product. Both foundations have the soft and smooth velvety air puffs but I like the air puff of black cushion more. The April Skin Magic fixing foundation has a neutral tone while the black cushion has the yellow undertone. Refills of both compacts can be purchased separately.

Overall if you are looking for nice every day natural and demi matte foundation I will highly recommend April Skin snow fixing foundation but for a coverage I will highly recommend the April Skin magic snow black cushion (new version) as it provides high coverage and gives brightening effect and last long.
