Review: Moonshot Micro CorrectFit Foundation

I am huge fan of Moonshot base products and I absolutely admire their cushions. Recently they have launched the Moonshot Micro CorrectFit Foundation which is a liquid foundation of their bestselling cushion Moonshot Micro CorrectFit Cushion which I have reviewed in a past as well. I was super excited to get my hands on this one as I love their cushion and if they are same it’s a totally a steal.

MY THOUGHTS

This came in a sturdy frosted glass packaging which is transparent so you can see the actual product. The cap and the pump of the foundation is purple which cap has an ombré effect which follows the theme colors of their cushion as well. You get the 30ml of product and the foundation is available in 3 shades in total #101 ivory, #201 Beige and #301 Honey. I choose the last shade 301 which is for shade 23-24 in Korean shades and it usually matches me very well.
The shade 301 Honey has a neutral finish which a tiny bit hint of pink to it which is what I personally don’t reach for but as shade blends naturally and gives a beautiful finish i do like it, hopefully they will came out with more shades.
You get a really nice natural finish and it has a low to medium coverage I wouldn’t say that this Moonshot Foundation has a full coverage as the cushion does not have either but again both are buildable to some extent. As the cushion does oxidize as well a little bit so does this Moonshot Foundation.

If you are going for natural coverage one pump is more than enough and it’s always better to apply in layers to get the best result. It has the same scent as the cushion but it lingers more though out the first few minutes. It contains SPF 50+ PA+++ of protection so it’s great to use at day time. It’s better to not use when using flash lights photography. The consistency is not too thin nor too thick. The foundation adhere well to the skin and it blends easily into the skin but if you have a dry skin it can cling to the dry patches if you don’t moisturize well. It does moisturize the skin as well but not too much. It has a dewy to satin finish depends on how you apply this, I personally like to go with brush first and then set it with the cushion puff. To make it last longer you definitely need to set it well with powder and spray. Moonshot recommend to use them with their base but I haven’t got a chance to try them yet sadly but if I will, I will definitely update it to you guys.
Overall it is a great Foundation which sits well on the skin and does not exaggerate the skin texture and pores but I really wish they came with new shades.

MOONSHOT LIQUID FOUNDATION VS CUSHION

According to me I personally like the Moonshot Micro Correctfit liquid foundation a little better moonshot Micro Correct Fit Cushion because you get the same formulation and I think liquid one lasts longer than the cushion one and overall you get a lot of more product, so if you are not hurry to do your foundation mostly, go for the Liquid Foundation one. Overall it has better coverage and lasts longer and as a bonus, you get way more product.

If you are looking for a natural to dewy finish foundation which does not look greasy and works well, you should definitely need to check this out.
It does make a place in my top 10 foundations but I need to test it more especially in summer so I will make sure to update you guys in 3-4 months. You can get yours from Jolse as it’s mostly on sale.
