Lately velvet lip products are taking over the cosmetic world and so does the high shine lip products. For matte lovers velvet lip products are great as the finish they provide is matte but they are not drying at all like the liquid lipsticks. Today I am going to reviewing the newly launched Colorstudio Professional Velvet lipsticks.

Velvet lipsticks are available in 45 different shades which is great number in general and everyone can a find that fits for them.
Colorstudio Professional lipsticks are made in Malta and Lipstick contains a 4.5 g of product. It retails for 1200pkr and £12.00 internationally.

INGREDIENTS

Hydrogenated Polydecene, Octyldodecanol, Mica, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyethylene, Cera Microcristallina (Microcrystalline Wax), Silica, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Aqua (Water), Aroma (Flavor), Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate. +/- (May Contain): Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 15850 (Red 6) (Red 7 Lake), Ci 77492, Ci 77491, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides), Ci 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), Ci 42090 (Blue 1 Lake).

You can know more about ingredients here. The ingredients used in making these velvet lipsticks are pretty safe and I am happy about it that they mentioned the ingredients.

MY THOUGHTS

The packaging is simple and sleek which does not feel luxurious though but I like the shape of the bullets and they remind me of the Chanel lipsticks and I think these shape is more comfortable for most people.

Now let’s talk about the actual product. The formula of the Colorstudio Professional Velvet lipsticks are semi matte and feels very creamy yet comfortable on the lips. Like the name suggest Velvet lipsticks, they have a little different feeling than the normal lipsticks, they feel, creamy and a little bit powdery yet very soft and smooth on the lips. My personal favorite is 145 Koko as it can be used on daily routine and looks natural yet beautiful. I also applied these lipsticks as a blush and they looks amazing and does not remove the base makeup or magnify the pores and skin texture. These velvet lipsticks are super pigmented and are easy to apply. They lasts quite long around 4-6 hours depending on your activities. I got the six shades which are as following;

Is a nice punch pink which have a neutral undertone so most of people can carry it.

One of my favorite and most used lipstick at the moment is this one and it’s a beautiful papaya orange color.

Rage is a beautiful tomato red color.

Charlotte is a beautiful mulberry magenta shade which is also one of my favorite shade.

It’s a perfect bright orange for summers.

COLORSTUDIO PROFESSIONAL VELVET LIPSTICKS MYSTERY (153)

Mystery is a spice brown which I personally love.

These does stain the lips but in a pretty way like does not leave the stain in a patchy way. They have a vanilla cent to them which is not overwhelming. They does not dry out the lips but as always it’s better to exfoliate and well moisturize your lips beforehand to get the best results. I personally love the color range and think that many people can find the shades suits them the best.
