Review: Missha Moist Layering Starter Gold Topping

Missha Moist Layering Starter Gold Topping Review

Lately, I have been testing out a lot of primers so here is the one I am reviewing today. This Missha product is named as a starter and they introduced actually three different starters/ primers this year which is part of this collection and this is the one which attracts me the most. The other two are for pores blurring and for the brightening. It took me quite some time to review this Missha gold topping starter as I want to see how it performs especially in winter and my thoughts about this product haven’t changed much.

MISSHA MOIST LAYERING STARTER GOLD TOPPING

Base makeup which gives the well moisturized, glazed, and able to express spectacular skin!A combination of Honey Water (Honey Extract) with excellent moisturizing and nutritional sensation (63% of honey extract) and Gold (95% or more purity) that gives the glow. Double hyaluronic acid replenishes and hydrates the moisture between layers of skin to maintain a moist skin condition. It also claims to help in wrinkle improvement and brightening the skin. Hydro blur polymers fill pores, irregularities, forms a moisture barrier, and makes skin smooth and well-prepared.

INGREDIENTS

Missha does not mention the whole ingredients list according to me and I can find only this much information from the packaging.Niacinamide, Adenosine * Indication: Gold (containing 150ppm), Phenoxyethanol. So overall this product seems to have nice ingredients. Most of the information you can find about the “product details” above. How To Use:Take the appropriate amount of the contents before spreading evenly on the skin, thentap and let it absorb.

MY SKIN TYPE

I have an acne prone/ sensitive skin which is dry to normal in winter and combination in summer.

MY THOUGHTS ON MISSHA MOIST LAYERING STARTER GOLD TOPPING

Honestly one of the reasons I want to pick this is the packaging, it looks so simple and sleek. I thought that it is a glass packaging but it is a hard plastic glass bottle with the black color details like on printing and the pump and cap. It is a classic beautiful packaging and it seems like a luxurious product. It’s actually not that bulky and quite small in size than I imagined.

Missha Moist Layering Starter Gold Topping contains the 30ml of product. I will tell you the price and seriously it’s pretty hard to believe that this cost only 14 dollars and you can get it on sale right now for around 10 dollars.

It is gel formula which is not runny at all and it contains gold flakes which actually dissolves pretty quickly while blending it. It feels little tacky while applying and it takes a little time to absorb into the skin and once it's blended into the skin I give a beautiful glow to the skin and makes skin well moisturized and healthy looking. Just for the note once you applied, it does have a tiny bit of tacky feeling to it which does not feel uncomfortable on the skin and actually it helps the makeup to sit well on the skin. It feels quite hydrating and moisturizing on the skin. It does not feel heavy on the skin so I have used it in the humid weather as well and it does its job very well to keep the makeup in place and keeps your skin moisturized. This Missha moist layering gold starter does not have any kind of tint to it and it is a lightweight primer which has a super hydrating and moisturizing power to it.

I can’t say that it does work well as the pore blur primers do for the pores. Honestly, I haven’t seen much difference in my pores but other than that it is a beautiful product. It does not prominent the dry patches nor does it feels like I have a thick oil layer on my face as I mentioned its a basically a gel formula. It contains Hyaluronic acid, Honey Extract, Niacinamide, and Gold flakes. It leaves your skin smooth and soft with a little glow and as it moisturize your skin it also helps with the fine lines and dry areas.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I wasn’t expecting much from it as I was more of visually mesmerized by this product but this primer does deserve some more love. I hate when there are many budget-friendly products with the nice ingredients products out there but sadly nobody talks about them. I don’t think you can get this good primer which helps with skin and have nice ingredients for the price you are paying, it can be only done in K-beauty world and Missha DID IT. This is something I can use the whole year and I seriously enjoy it. Will definitely recommend it to the people with all skin types. It is available at Jolse right now.
